hi.
i am alive.
in a pretty bad shape.
physically.
mentally.
spiritually.
but i know all will be fine.
God is good.
too good that i abuse His love.
time flies.
no matter how many times i feel "time is fleeting"
some how my brain never registers what it really means
as if it were trying to re-live this part over and over again.
in exactly a few days. . .
my academic journey might come to an official end.
tragic. . .
i do not wish for it to end.
i want to do a PhD.
but there are other things i want as well.
leaving for home in less than a month.
time is fleeting. . .
yet to have spent sufficient time in the UK.
looking forward to my travels with the chinese girls.
till then. . . let me crawl along my road of self discovery.
and hopefully somewhere along the way i learn to stop abusing God.

blessed is what i am.
i won't say my life is back on track.
but the progress i am making is decent.
so blessed by service with Dr Yonggi Cho.
now back to work!

walk off the earth
i think i am crazy.
the most productive thing i have these days
was reading the word of God.
what happened to doing my assignments?
i do not know.
that aside,
i must say i have been very glad to dedicate my life back to God.
been a "christian" for the longest time.
but i will admit i only clinged on because
i abused His love.
if you love God, you will love His word.
simple but true.
so i made myself study His word everyday.
it is crazy how everything i read makes sense.
getting my life back on track is a pain.
i am so lazy that i disgust myself.
here the complaining will end.
i want to live
i want to love
i want to be happy
yes, it can be done.
let the adventures begin!

anchor
#photoadayapril : shadow
soft existence
so my assignments are killing me softly.
hitting a mental block in every single one of them.
the weather isn't too kind as well.
pop of colour to brighten up the gloomy days ahead!
obviously i have no skill in doing this.
in need of erjie's help.
i miss how she gladly paint my nails
esp the night before cny.
brilliant to have sisters
strange.
my brain is thinking way ahead.
i do things.
and at the back of my head,
i know i'd only be here for a little while more.
i can never figure my brains.
doesn't matter.
it's all in His hands
far away
egg
#photoadayapril : lunch
(this was dinner actually)
baked an apple crumble
Good friday
i miss church real bad.
but right now,
i am so thankful for God's grace.
working on FinSAS again.
cointegration drove me nuts.

i sent my manifesto for the new Hatfield MCR role
"Livers-Out officer"
VOTE RAISA!
my work is killing me.
no, i am not complaining.
i am glad i have work to do.
just stating some facts.

i can't win
"severe weather"
that's what BBC news said.
i still think the British tend to overreact.
then again,
i don't know if i consider this
good or bad.
raining snow
3rd april : mail
surprise postcard from JinLu!
(all the way from Greece!)
seriously.
i meet the nicest people in Durham.
in this context,
"people"
refers to those that i came into contact with in school.
and strangely,
they are mostly asians.
sure.
the locals and europeans are mostly polite and friendly.
the other international students
just stick to those from their own country.
that leaves me,
the lonely singaporean.
but God has been so good to place
the sweetest and most sincere people in my life.
on the way home.
cold
alone
perfect for talking to God.
woke up to a snow-free day.
gramps was fit.
he climbed the slope faster than i did.
and at the end, i was panting.
but he wasn't.
practice practice practice!
library duty!
black beanie and plaits.
necessary to combat the raging winds.
(heck the fat face)
4th april : someone who makes you happy
fluffy clouds
bright night sky
low hanging moon
ought to stop wasting time.
have you spoken to God today?

always like this
hello april
cheap thrill : washing bedsheets
bizarre weather makes me cranky
i miss the days when i can just wear
tank tops/shorts/slipper
still
i won't complain about what i have now
i do enjoy the cool breeze a lot
flowers blooming outside hatfield college
another thing to be thankful for
beautiful sunrise!
b o r e d
(from library duties which encompasses studying)
i am a hatfielder
cemetery outside the cathedral.
lovely isn't it?
p l u c k e d
my daily intake makes me happy
Church's vision weekend was awesome.
a year of relationships and discipleship.
so yes.
i am going to tell my friends
how much a appreciate them.
feeling somewhat on cloud 9.
finally did Perron's test
(with understanding)
on all 3 price index.
liking the results they showed.
well.
my assignment is still far from being completed.
work. noms noms. work.
i care if i grow exceedingly fat.
but i hate to starve.
oh.
why does chocolate taste so good.

poison and wine
i like the transition into warmer weather.
the people here love the sun so much.
i am pretty sure they will all get skin cancer.
hello double digits (:
sunrise
breakfast
first library duty in Hatfield
Hatfield's crest
sunset
baked/roast chicken wings for lunch
gradient
big bang theory, milk, dinner.
dinner
started working on my assignments.
everything is killing me.
but i will survive.
they remind me of alice in wonderland
while in Hatfield's library.
i must admit my longing for
Singaporean food is on the rampage
bought these frozen baos for £3.95.
i know they are expensive.
i just pray they taste good.
well.
God is good.
Amen.
i like to roam and stare at my surroundings.
as if my visual senses could capture everything.
or perhaps it was a feeble attempt
to map as many details as i could.
all in hopes that when i am old and aged,
i can refresh my mind with these moments that i preserved.
life is never easy.
but i am learning to appreciate all that i have.
i do not want to repeat the same mistakes.
i do want to take things for granted.
so praise God for the lovely people
He has placed in my life.
yes.
after all is done and fades away.
the things that matter are the relationships
that we have engraved and shaped throughout our lives.
live long and prosper folks.
there is always a reason to be happy.
