poison and wine

i like the transition into warmer weather.
the people here love the sun so much.
i am pretty sure they will all get skin cancer.

hello double digits (:

sunrise

breakfast

first library duty in Hatfield

Hatfield's crest

sunset

baked/roast chicken wings for lunch

gradient

big bang theory, milk, dinner.

dinner

started working on my assignments.
everything is killing me.
but i will survive.

they remind me of alice in wonderland

while in Hatfield's library.

i must admit my longing for
Singaporean food is on the rampage
bought these frozen baos for £3.95.
i know they are expensive.
i just pray they taste good.

well.
God is good.
Amen.

i like to roam and stare at my surroundings.

as if my visual senses could capture everything.
or perhaps it was a feeble attempt
to map as many details as i could.
all in hopes that when i am old and aged,
i can refresh my mind with these moments that i preserved.

life is never easy.
but i am learning to appreciate all that i have.
i do not want to repeat the same mistakes.
i do want to take things for granted.

so praise God for the lovely people
He has placed in my life.

yes.
after all is done and fades away.
the things that matter are the relationships
that we have engraved and shaped throughout our lives.

live long and prosper folks.
there is always a reason to be happy

i want to thank you for nothing

mail!

initial mystery mail

first guess was my sister
(because she recently asked for my address)
but my sis said it was tsehwee who asked for it.
but then. . . i was wrong!
(thou they did have the exact same plan!)

well
it was from my beloved cell group e495!
(thank you for all the love!)
beautiful weave clutch

another mail was in as well.

yes
snail mail from Elvin!

polaroid of "my" gerber daisy

seriously.
God is too good to me.
all these amazing people that He placed in my life!
i am so so grateful!

not forgetting my awesome family as well.
the mother has become more tech savvy.
sending me videos of my turtle.

sisters who are mad busy
but always have time to spare

no.
life is never perfect.
but it is beautiful.

i'm especially thankful for this week.
been thinking a lot
about life as a whole.

and God always brings me the comfort and peace
that is much needed in my life.

i am so lost and confused.
but i do see a light at the end of the tunnel.

i need to press on. . .

update on my hunger pangs. . .
lunch was decent.
cooked eggs, ham, veg and tortilla with cheese!

but i failed after dinner.
i started on a mad rampage of snicker bars.
ate 4 in one go.

yes.
i want to shoot myself.

and FSA is still like crap.
all my ratios are berserk.

well.
God thank you for everything
thank you for nothing.

called out in the dark

bizarre night.
i couldn't fall asleep

then i woke to the sounds of birds chirping
(at approximately 5.45am)
trust me when i say i was cranky.

i wished i had a AK47
to shoot all the birds down

next thing i know.
it was 9 am.

late start to the day.
now let's be productive.

FinSAS please be kind

1) taking pictures of grapes is much more fun
then working on my FinSAS
2) "breakfast in bed"

God's timing is perfect.
i decided to read Psalms.
(it's probably the easiest to read)
and the moment i flipped
my "bible" (iPhone) to Psalms 1:1
delirious starts playing on my iTunes

creepily perfect!

Psalm 1:1-3
"How blessed is the one who does not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or standing the pathway with sinners,
or sit in the assembly of scoffers!

Instead he finds pleasure in obeying
the Lord's commands; he meditates
on His commands day and night.

He is like a tree planted by flowing streams;
it yields its fruit at the proper time,
and its leaves never fall off.
He succeeds in everything he attempts."

teen dream

one thing i enjoy about durham
is the lack of people in it

i can stop in my trail
lift my head up
and stare at the trees

God is so brilliant isn't He

signed up for MCR only formal. alone.
but i am thankful that i had Alex and his guest for company that night

Finally a clear break away from Meiko and Romain.
a much needed break.

don't get me wrong.
i still love those two crazy europeans.
i just do not wish surround myself with
insults/bullying/mean jokes all the time.

i admit i am childish and silly at times.
(everybody is)
but to purposely behave in an obnoxious manner. . .
(it is too much for me to take)

formal was decent.
having proper conversations.
(trashing durham business school)
i did enjoy the night.

oh.
the spoon banging

peeks of spring!

Term 2 ends tomorrow.
all i can think of is that time flies.

my first birthday in durham
call me boring.
but i don't intend to celebrate it.

every year i have only one request on my birthday.
that is for my family to be with me
to sing me a birthday song and cut my birthday cake together

honestly.
i would like to do this in durham.
but there isn't anyone whom i would like to do it with.
everyone is nice.
but nobody is special.

still-
God is good, all the time.
All the time, God is good.

stuck in reverse

my brain shuts down for too long

seriously.
i sleep and do not wake for the next 7 hours.
not as if i did any manual labour during the day.

almost forgot i could see the cathedral
from the "short cut"
praise God the ringing bells reminded me.

met Giorgio for the very first time during the weekend.
yes.
i do not believe it either.
still, we met to work. . . not play.

outside St Mary's main building
the weather was brilliant so i decided to wait outside.

grounds of St Mary's
(spring is coming!)

today's special at Treats
£1.95 for beef pie with salad!
CHEAPEST MEAL EVER!

carried on working with Giorgio till the sun began to set.

i dislike these lights along Kingsgate bridge.
and honestly,
i think this bridge is ugly.

hello lovely.
i never get tired of looking at the cathedral.

Castle was installed with massive flood lights
(so that trains passing by could see it)

yes.
it is lovely.
(but i would never tell meiko that)

Financial Risk Management (FRM)
is killing me softly.
i still like this subject.
and i actually like the challenge from the work given.

brain drained

the weather forecast for this week looks awesome!
no more thick coats and boots!
(this means i can't hide my fats under the layers anymore)

i managed to keep within the limits
of my "food consumption plan"
(it is not a diet)
sadly.
this is at the expense of increasing groceries spending.
